The power of AI
This last week I have been experimenting with AI tools.
I have focussed on two tools for this week’s experiment:
Midjourney – Creates images based on text prompts
Chat GBT – Creates text content based on text prompts
I wanted to understand if these tools could be used in my workflow and to get an idea of how powerful these tools really are.
I have been blown away by most of the results though at present there are a few limitations.
Ultimately these are tools and like all tools, you must learn how to use them correctly.
The result you get largely depends on how well you write your prompts, bad input, bad output.
This technology is going to disrupt and I feel it is important to understand and optimise for these tools
These two tools alone could mean that instead of a once-a-week post, I could generate a post every single day for a week in less time than my regular post would take to write.
It could fundamentally change the reach and impact a person could have.
At the moment I think these tools are a jumping-off point and a generation tool and it is still up to a person to review, analyse, connect other information, provide more context and personal experience to what has been created and add in your own creativity.
I still currently believe that it is knowledge + personal experience that makes writing interesting, but, I will continue to explore how AI can help shorten and speed up my work.
I have included a set of examples of both image and text generation to show just a small sample of what these tools can do.
Outside of this writing, everything else has been created by AI – enjoy the last image.
